Mission Statement
and Code of Ethics
The mission of the
Snake River Valley Building Contractors Association is to unite
the building industry and draw upon the collective strength,
talent and commitment of its members to enhance their
professionalism and improve the overall business climate. The
BCA believes that it is through the efforts of a strong,
professional building industry, that the needs of the community
for quality, affordable housing can be met.
Mission Goals

To be the
respected voice of the building industry.

To be a
deciding factor in political, legislative and regulatory
matters.

To be the
leader in protecting and enhancing the quality of life
through effective stewardship of the land.

To be a
resource for members to enhance business opportunities.

To be the
leader in promoting partnerships with the community groups,
related industries and governmental entities to accommodate
an expanding economy.

To provide
educational opportunities for the professional advancements
of its members.
Code of Ethics
Article IV
(Code of Ethics
for all BCA Members)
The members of the Association shall be
limited to those persons and firms who shall subscribe to the
following Code of Ethics.
Members of the
Snake River Valley Building Contractors Association believe and
affirm that:

Home ownership
can and should be within the reach of every American family.

American homes
should be well-designed, well-constructed and well-located
in attractive communities with educational, recreational,
religious and shopping facilities accessible to all.

American homes
should be built under the free American enterprise system.
To achieve these
goals, we pledge allegiance to the following principles and
policies:

Acknowledge
paramount allegiance to our country, our republic and to the
American private enterprise economy system, we assume those
certain prime responsibilities to our community and our
customers.

Honesty is our
guiding business policy.

High standards
of health, safety and sanitation are built in every home.
-
Members shall
deal fairly with their respective employees, sub-contractors
and suppliers.

As members of
a progressive industry, we encourage research to develop new
materials, new building techniques, new building equipment
and improved methods of home financing, to the end that
every home purchased may get the greatest value possible for
every dollar.

All sound
legislative proposals affecting our industry and the people
we serve shall have informed and vigorous support.

We hold
inviolate the free enterprise system and the American Way of
Life. We pledge our support to our associates. Our Local,
State and National Association and related industries
concerned with the preservation of legitimate rights and
freedoms.
We assume these
responsibilities freely and solemnly, mindful that they are part
of our obligation as members of Snake River Valley Building
Contractors Association.
