The Snake River Valley Building Contractors Association is a trade association representing businesses involved in the residential development, construction and remodeling industry in the Canyon, Gem and Payette County regions.
Members of the BCA include home builders, land developers and remodelers, as well as trade partners including architects, mortgage lenders, building material suppliers, realtors and sub-contractors.
The SRVBCA is one of several hundred local home builder associations in the United States. The SRVBCA is also affiliated with the Idaho Building Contractors Association (IBCA) and the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), which represents more than 211,000 member firms in the United States.
As a non-profit organization, the SRVBCA carries out its mission through a variety of activities including:
- Advocating to state and local policy makers to create a regulatory environment that fosters a vibrant and affordable housing market
- Delivering the educational and certification necessary to advance and expand professional expertise in the diverse industry professions
- Presenting events, such as the Parade of Homes that highlight new housing technologies and trends as well as the benefits of new home ownership
- Bringing industry members together through events such as Builder EXPO designed to help members expand peer networks, meet new customers, exchange ideas and grow friendships
- Publishing timely reports and periodicals to provide the latest information about housing activity
- Honoring member excellence in through award programs
- Providing valuable member discount programs to reduce business expenses
- Giving back to the community through the Hands N Hearts program
